Autumn Festival Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser, Orillia

Orillia Pregnancy Resource Centre is excited to be hosting our 4th annual autumn festival dinner and silent auction fundraiser. The auction and social time begin at 5:30pm followed by a buffet dinner at 6:30pm. Tickets are $35.00 each and can be picked up from the OPRC located at 79 Colborne Stret East in Orillia. Funds raised from this event will continue to help individuals who are experiencing or have previously experienced a crisis pregnancy. Ride For Refuge, Orillia Lighthouse - Orillia

Ride for Refuge is a National fundraising event for the vulnerable in our communities across Canada. The Orillia event will raise funds and awareness for The Lighthouse Soup Kitchen and Shelter, and Couchiching Jubilee House. There will be local dignitaries bringing greetings, an Antique Fire Truck, the 99 Lynx Squadron Pipe and Drum Band, and displays for people to browse. Lunch and refreshments are free for those volunteering and participating.

The Ride is a 5 km walk, 10km, 25 km or 50 km Bicycle ride.  All participants are working hard to fundraise for their designated charity and you can donate to one of our teams or Charities on rideforrefuge.org - search under Orillia location.

They are still in need of Volunteers.  You can also sign up on rideforrefuge.org under Orillia.

This is one of our major fundraising events of the year and we hope to raise up to $30,000. As you know, homelessness is at a crisis point in Orillia and surrounding area.  Everything we can do to raise awareness and funds to help the vulnerable in our community is important to ending homelessness in Simcoe county.    Our charities are taking the load off of government and tax payers to help those in need in our community to find emergency housing, addictions counselling, mental health counselling as well as feed up to 17000 meals / year in The Lighthouse Soup Kitchen.  our mission statement at The Lighthouse is "guiding the vulnerable out of life's storms towards hope"

Case For Christ Movie Night - Simcoeside Lifepointe Church, Orillia

LIFE 100.3 is hosting a movie night, showing The Case For Christ at Simcoeside Lifepointe Church. Tickets are available at the door - $5 for adults, $2 for children under 12. The Case for Christ is Lee Strobel's story, an investigative journalist and self-proclaimed atheist who sets out to disprove the existence of God after his wife becomes a Christian. It's a 5km, 10km, 25 km Ride, walk and fundraise on Saturday, September 30, 2017, in the Ride for Refuge, a super-fun, family-friendly fundraiser supporting charities who provide refuge and hope for displaced, vulnerable + exploited people everywhere. Solitary Refinement - Voice of the Martyrs Production, Orillia

Hassell, directed by triple Dora Award nominee Tom Carson (four national touring productions), with original music composed by Emmy-winner and renowned recording artist Tom Szczesniak.This area-wide event is sponsored by The Voice of the Martyrs Canada (VOMC), in partnership with First Baptist Church Orillia, for the entire local community. The LIFE100.3 Street team will be at the Aurora prayer breakfast. The Aurora Prayer Breakfast is a not-for-profit Christian-led initiative to which everyone is welcome. The event focus is on gathering to pray for elected officials, business leaders and the residents in Aurora. Community leaders are joined by members of the community at this annual breakfast meeting of prayer, singing and scripture in Aurora.
