Shelburne Crossroads Community Church is hosting Spiritual Renewal Every Wednesday Night to Jun 28. Community Outreach is desired.  All are welcome to enjoy Gospel Music, Bible Teaching and Prayer.  Attendees are encouraged to bring any questions and topics for discussion. Heart and Stroke Grey Bruce is holding Women Inspiring Women Event Apr 27 at the Stone Tree Banquet Hall in Owen Sound, starting at 6:30pm. Cost is $45 each or 4 for $160 It's an evening of positive influences and conversation.  Four local women share their struggles and successes. Light refreshments and silent auction. 519-371-0083 

 

Collier Street United Church in Barrie is hosting their 22nd Annual Silent Auction Apr 27 from 4-9 pm, Apr 28 11-9pm and Apr 29 9-1pm. The silent auction is free to attend, and all the money raised will help support the church missions and ministries. There will be over 500 items. 705-726-1511   

 

A Fundraiser for Heart to Heart Haiti is being held Apr 29 at the Edgar Community Hall in Oro-Medonte from 10am - 3pm. The event is meant to raise awareness of how our purchases can make a significant and positive impact in the lives of many.  Any proceeds will go to Heart to Heart Haiti, a church, children's home, school and training program in Grande Goave Haiti. 705-730-9405 

 

Hillside Missions Committee is presenting Ali Matthews in Concert Apr 29 at Hillside Community Church in Tottenham. Cost is $20 and is meant to raise funds for Hillside's ongoing ministry to Mishkeegogamang First Nation in Ontario's remote northwest. Showtime is 7pm. 705-440-7754

 

Fair Havens Commuinity Church Pancake Breakfast is taking place Apr 29 at Fairhavens Community Church in Beaverton. It's free to attend and will begin at 10:30am. Following breakfast people who would like to stay will be assembling parts of a radio that will share the Gospel somewhere in the world with the mission organization Galcom. Kawartha Youth for Christ and I am second are hosting un-covered 2017 May 5 and May 6 at Elim City Church in Peterborough. Most Christians know they should share their faith...most don't know how. Un-covered is a training event in Peterborough for you to learn how to pray for people, demonstrate the Kingdom of Heaven and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus! 6:30pm - (next day) 9:30pm 705-344-5456

Jubilee Celebration Centre is hosting 10th Year Of God's Celebration May 11 and May 12 at Orillia Highwayman Inn. The event will begin at 7 pm each night, and is meant to be a Celebration of their 10th Year of God faithfulness. A Freewill offering will be taken. 705-326-0522  

 

Emmanuel Community Church in Port Perry is holding their Annual Missions Yard Sale May 12 and May 13 from 2pm-dusk; 8am-2pm. We invite our friends & neighbours from Scugog and surrounding communities to attend our annual missions yard sale.  This huge 2-day event is organized by our Missions Committee and all proceeds of the sale will help us support various local and global projects. 905-985-4441

Orangeville Gideon Camp is hosting Gideon Dessert Night May 13 at Broadway Pentecostal Church in Orangeville. St. Ahtnasius Ladies Fellowship Group of Orillia is hosting Spring Blossom Luncheon May 13 from 11 am - 2 pm. Cost is $6. All money goes to the Ladies Group's many Charities. Lunch with baked goods and crafts for sale there will also be a raffle. 705-325-1861

Barrie & Area Lupus Supports is taking part in the Annual Walk for Lupus Ontario May 27 at St. Vincent Park. Each year more people are diagnosed with Lupus and many other Lupus-Related conditions.  For this reason, we are asking you to join us to fundraise and to create public awareness of this debilitating chronic condition. Free Stuff for Daily Needs in Gravenhurst is fundraising to buy a 6 thousand dollar shipping container to hold and process donations of household items.

The Canadian Cancer Society Holland River Unit  is looking for volunteer drivers to take part in a program that drives York Region cancer patients from the hospital in Newmarket, to other medical facilities, for example, in Toronto.  They serve not only Newmarket Cancer patients, but also those in Georgina, Bradford, East Gwillimbury, Aurora, Richmond Hill, and King.
