EFC WORKSHOP - PARENTING FAITH, Barrie
https://onechurchcanada.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3453281
May 2 from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm
Details
Our partner, Evangelical Fellowship of Canada is hosting a workshop: Parenting faith: Passing faith to the next generation. Register through Evangelical Fellowship of Canada website.
How do we help children and youth develop a lasting, resilient faith?
In a time when many young people are stepping away from their faith as they grow older, this question has never been more important. Parents and grandparents play a vital role in shaping the spiritual lives of the next generation, but many are asking what truly makes a difference.
Join us for this engaging workshop as Lindsay Callaway shares key insights from national research, including findings from survey with over 1,000 Canadian evangelical parents, as well as conversations with ministry leaders and parents across Canada. Together, we will explore how faith is formed at home and what practical steps families can take to nurture and sustain it.
This session is designed to encourage, equip, and empower you with meaningful, research-based insights you can apply in everyday life.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Everyone is welcome, and admission is free.
Short Bio of Lindsay:
Lindsay Callaway has been with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada since 2019 and serves as a Senior Researcher with the Centre for Research on Church and Faith. She has contributed to several national studies, including Parenting Faith, which explores how parents disciple their children at home, Significant Church, examining the experiences of small churches in Canada, and the National Study on Women in Canadian Evangelical Churches, understanding how women participate in their local churches.
Lindsay holds graduate degrees in systematic theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and in bioethics, is married to Adam, who is a pastor, and the mother of three children.

Guelph Musicfest presents Schmaltz & Pepper, Guelph
https://www.guelphmusicfest.ca/schmaltzandpepper.html
May 22, 2026 at 07:30 pm
Schmaltz & Pepper is a uniquely virtuosic and entertaining chamber ensemble performing original music inspired by Klezmer, Yiddish Swing, Jazz and Classical music. This groundbreaking ensemble features the extraordinary talents of Eric Abramovitz, the principal clarinetist of the Toronto Symphony and the Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and arranger, Drew Jurecka, virtuosic violinist/vocalist/composer, Rebekah Wolkstein, founder/leader of the acclaimed Payadora Ensemble, Juno-nominated bassist, Michael Herring and Juno-award winning pianist, Jeremy Ledbetter. This ensemble is redefining the traditional boundaries of Yiddish music, blending classical mastery with innovative compositions and soulful arrangements.
This band has an exhilarating trajectory. A mere 6 months after Abramovitz and Wolkstein came up with the idea to form a band, they had a full show of original music and inventive arrangements. Their debut performance was a live-to-air broadcast with a studio audience at Zoomer Hall in Toronto for Classical 96.3FM in May 2024. Since then, they have sold out shows at Ashkenaz, the Toronto Summer Music Festival, and Jewish Music Week in Toronto, and are headlining the ‘Put a Yid on it’ festival in Winnipeg. They are performing at many of the top chamber music festivals in Canada in 2025: Toronto Summer Music, Ottawa Chamberfest, Stratford Summer Music, Elora Music Festival, and Tuckamore Festival in Newfoundland, among others!
This is the opening of concert of Guelph Musicfest’s 20th Anniversary Season!

About Endless Impact Challenge
Our Endless Impact Challenge is similar to the concept of ‘Pay It Forward.’ We wanted to have a unique challenge that would bring awareness on how we can collectively play a role in having an endless impact within our community. In the month of May, we will be encouraging people to come up with a creative way to show God’s love to your neighbour and to challenge 3 people to do the same. You can film the interaction or review the experience in a post for social media and tag One Church Barrie. We are also encouraging those to provide a donation to One Church Barrie’s endless impact fundraiser but it is not required to participate. Lets see the power of how a simple act of God’s love has the ripple effect to change lives and our community.
About Endless Impact Fundraiser
Our Endless Impact Fundraiser will be for the whole month of May. We are needing funds to run events such as The Big Give, operate programs such as City Serve, put promotional ads on the radio, or host guest speakers from other organizations.

Short Bio of Bill:
Rev. Bill Kelly’s spiritual journey began with a dramatic encounter in 1974 when God transformed his life, delivering him from drug addiction and leading him to salvation in Christ. That moment ignited a lifelong passion: helping others discover the same freedom and abundant life available through Jesus.
For over 50 years, Bill has pursued this calling through church planting and missions in Quebec, Toronto, and Taiwan; prison chaplaincy; and counseling ministry. He previously served as a unit supervisor with Foursquare Canada, overseeing more than 15 churches across the Greater Toronto Area.
Trained in counseling and Christian psychotherapy, Bill has devoted the past 15 years to empowering pastors and leaders through coaching, counseling, and mentoring—integrating deep spiritual insight with practical wisdom to help ministry leaders experience inner healing.
Bill and Diane have journeyed together for 44 years and are blessed with three adult children and five grandchildren. Today they serve as itinerant missionaries throughout Europe and Asia—including China, Taiwan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan—offering training, support, and heart transformation ministry to those on the front lines of kingdom work.
About Pastors Network:
The pastors network is a monthly gathering of local pastors to connect, pray, and equip one another. One Church hosts these events and we seek out supports, resources, and guest speakers to enhance these monthly events.

The four Penderecki musicians (now originating from Poland, Canada, and the USA) bring their varied yet collective experience to create performances that demonstrate their “remarkable range of technical excellence and emotional sweep” (Toronto, Globe and Mail).
The PSQ’s international performing schedule has included appearances in New York (Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall), Amsterdam (Concertgebouw), Hong Kong (Academy for the Arts), Los Angeles (REDCAT Hall at Disney Center), St. Petersburg (Sheremetev Palace), the Adam Festival in New Zealand, and throughout Europe in Rome, Madrid, Paris, Belgrade, Prague, Krakow, Vilnius, and Zagreb.
