LEARN TO SAVE A LIFE – FREE CPR CLINIC

WHAT: Free CPR Clinic for the general public
WHEN: Saturday February 22, 2025
TIME: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Lampman Lane Community Centre – 59 Lampman Lane, Barrie, L4N 5G4
This non-certificate event is organized to increase the number of Barrie residents trained to recognize and respond to sudden cardiac arrest and airway emergencies. With every minute that passes while a casualty is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, up to 10% chances of survival decreases. The early recognition of a cardiac emergency, starting immediate CPR combined with the use of a defibrillator can increase chances of survival.
The hands-on training will teach participants adult and child CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and what to do when someone is choking. This clinic is proudly sponsored by St. John Ambulance and the Rotary Club of Barrie. There are two workshops available that day starting at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. as well as 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pre-register for this CPR workshop by calling (705) 726-0991 or Jason Coulterman 905-773-3394 x 2124 or email yorksimcoemuskoka@sja.ca .

We start off with praise and worship
We have designated people to pray over the various areas of focus from the front
We have breakout prayer groups with a facilitator
We will rotate between each of these activities above throughout the night.

The annual Youth Ministry training day, the Today’s Teens Conference is hosted in Brampton on Feb 28, 2026 by Youth Worker Community has the very affordable rate. This is for youth workers, community workers, student leaders, teacher, parents, camp staff and those who minister to teens!

LIFE Tubing Night at Snow Valley is Monday, March 2 from 6-9pm – 3 hours of unlimited tubing! We have 2 lifts with 9 runs plus the Kidz Zone, exclusively for LIFE listeners! Tickets are $30 +HST per person. This includes regular tubing (42″ and over) and the Kidz Zone. Everyone going out onto either hill requires a ticket. No ticket required for those who will just be in the chalet. Helmets are optional – helmet rentals will be available through Snow Valley or you can bring your own.

Service written and prepared by WDP Nigeria, prepared and adapted for use in Canada by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.
Refreshments served after the service. Accessible site.

On the first Friday of March, then, in services all over the world that country becomes the focus of prayer and understanding. Through preparation and participation in the worship service, women worldwide learn how their sisters of other countries, languages and cultures understand the biblical passages in their context. They learn of the concerns and needs of those women and to empathize and feel in solidarity with them.

This year the country recognized is Nigeria.
The scripture – ‘ “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ‘

Truth About Sex – Parent Series is a 6 week, biblically aligned, research-based workshop equips and encourages parenting adults (parents, grandparents, guardians, church leaders, etc.) to guide and support their youth toward optimal sexual health (ideally avoiding sex outside of marriage), protecting their current and future wellbeing in a culture that sexualizes children. Mature teens, attending with a parent/guardian, have found the teaching beneficial, helping them to establish a healthy vision for this sensitive topic and effective boundaries.

Wasaga Adventure Park is hosting their annual Paintball for Poverty Charity Event to help those in need, locally and abroad.
