Prayer Request: A Cry for Protection and a Miracle
Hello beloved friends in Christ, I am in deep need of prayer and urgent intercession right now. My heart is heavy, and I am asking for a miracle—something only the Lord can do.
There is a painful and frightening situation involving people from a past camp that deeply wounded me. It was a place where I experienced betrayal, emotional harm, and the loss of relationships that were incredibly meaningful to me. It is a source of trauma that still lingers, and now, there is a real fear that some of those same people may come into my current church home—my sanctuary, my refuge, my healing ground.
This church is not just a place I attend—it’s the only place that’s ever felt like it’s mine, where I feel spiritually safe, known, and seen. God has been restoring me here, and it’s where I’ve built deeply meaningful connections, especially with someone who feels like the big brother I never got to keep—Joshua. He is such a gift, and I cannot begin to describe how much his presence has been healing to me.
But I am terrified. My church is attending a summer day camp this July, the week of July 21-25 to be exact, and I fear that this connection could open the door for harmful people from the camp’s past to infiltrate my church community—people who have taken from me before and would do it again. I am overwhelmed with fear and overthinking, imagining the worst outcomes: these people coming to my church, creating relationships, being added to church group chats, even trying to get close. The thought breaks me.
Please, I beg for your prayers:
• That God would divinely protect my church and its people from harmful connections with anyone from the camp.
• That those people would never come to Calvary, never seek relationships with its members, and never be drawn into this sacred space of mine.
• That God would guard and preserve my relationship with a gentleman—deepening it, shielding it from division.
