Wow! I had previously wanted to write two days ago on here with an update about my 91-year-old father who had two strokes and a brain bleed 3 weeks ago but never finished my post.
Then today, after I visited my dad in the morning, my mom felt that she wanted to come in the afternoon, so I brought my 90-year-old mom to see my dad.
My mom walks with a walker so I used a wheelchair to bring her upstairs.
Usually I take Wednesdays to go back home and look after my family there and tie up lose ends etc. But this week my birth father had his 6 month ct scan appointment (he had cancer 4 years ago – and God miraculously saved him – which is another incredible story) so I came home on Tuesday instead.
When my mom and I walked in, I could tell my dad wasn’t himself. He was still sitting in the geriatric chair and was very frustrated. He didn’t even acknowledge my mom. Which he usually smiles and is just so happy to see her. I called the nurse in and she said he was just upset she wouldn’t put him back into the bed. But I insisted there was something wrong. So she started checking his bp when he started getting worse, he went all pale and drooling and his eyes went all whacked. The nurse called in the rapid response team code blue. I am trying to wheel my mom out of the room as all of this is happening. My mom and I end up in a quiet room and are crying and quite upset. I immediately call our pastor and tell her what was happening. She prays with us on the spot and then calls the church prayer team which just so happened to be on a zoom call praying about healing in someone else.
So in that time span, my mom and I happened to be in the room at the exact moment my dad was having a medical issue AND we were able to connect immediately to our pastor AND to a group of elders praying for healing! Is God at work or what!!!!🙏 Amen!
The nurse then came in. My mom and I were so calm. The nurse said he is doing well and asking why my mom had left the room. Lol. We went back into my dad’s room and he’s hooked up to a heart monitor to make sure all is fine and a saline solution is being given to him. He is back to himself and started talking as though nothing happened. He doesn’t remember any part of it, but after we explained what had happened, he immediately said “Thank you Jesus”. 🙏 My mom is also doing well and also knows God was there and is watching over all of us.
To be 91 and go through all of this and still be alive and well, I just cannot thank God enough! 🙏 My walk with God is getting stronger every day. Witnessing this as well as my dad’s progress after his strokes I just trust and believe so much more. How can I ever doubt?
I was also asking God over and over this past week to please use me and to work through me. 🙏 And thanking God for continuing to shine His light through my dad. Wow! 🙏💗
Amen!
